Lisa is the Founder of Gather.
I am a London based architect and founder of Gather.
I trained in New Zealand, Denmark and the United Kingdom, completing my Masters in Architecure and Urbanism with the Architectural Association Design Research Lab. As an ARB registered architect, I have worked in the UK industry for over ten years working with practices such as WilkinsonEyre and Jump Studios (Populous), gaining a diversity of experience with particular focus on the education, commercial, office and public sector. I currently work with Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and tutor part time at The Bartlett, UCL. My passion lies in designing truly accessible and user focused architecture, responding to complex briefs and thus delivering buildings that both work for and inspire client and end user alike. I am also passionate about empowering women through community and subsequently founded Gather, our women’s network whose central focus is to inspire women to connect and build their own unique empires in the everyday. I have extensive experience in tutoring architecture with a focus on design, communication, theory and project management. I've had the pleasure of teaching both in New Zealand at Victoria University Wellington and at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. Research interests include adaptive architecture, complex systems and client brief development.
