Collective Futures

Gathering – the conscious bringing of people together – shapes the way we think, feel and make sense of our world (Priya Parker). It’s part of our human DNA.

Gather’s Autumn Away is a simple invitation: to slow down, connect and be inspired – to and by nature, each other and yourself. And this year, all to the theme tune of Collective Futures -

How could we shape the future we want, for ourselves and for each other, through our everyday perspectives and actions?

Over a shared lunch together, we'll partake in a facilitated exploration of what brings us hope, what we're looking for in a collective future and how we might shape it.

Optional Activities

Ready for a bit of hands-on mindfulness? There's an opportunity to help us harvest the crab apples, quince or apples. If you'd like to, you can learn to make jam from what you harvest in the kitchen with us.

Or perhaps, you prefer to take a wander in the orchard, visit the horses?

Or just chill and connect with each other over refreshments. The choice is yours.

WHAT TO BRING

DON'T FORGET YOUR:

  • Comfy shoes and clothing (that can get a little dirty).

  • Layers - a raincoat or warm jumper for some outdoors time.

  • Water bottle.

  • Phone charger, especially if your train tickets are digital.

  • If you'd like to make jam - bring a jar. A 200-300g glass jar with lid and wide opening is great (e.g. a Bonne Maison or set honey jar works nicely).

  • If you'd like to take some fruit home - bring a cotton tote or sturdy paper bag (makes sure the fruit can breathe on the way home)

WE WILL PROVIDE:

  • Lunch.

  • Morning and afternoon snacks.

  • Selection of juice, tea and coffee.

  • Return taxi to/from Huntingdon station (if you have selected this ticket).

If you have any food questions or concerns, please get in touch.

TRAVEL

YOU HAVE TWO PRIMARY OPTIONS FOR HOW YOU GET TO THE VENUE:

  • Take the Train from London - You will need to buy your own train ticket (off-peak same day return) and ensure you have selected ‘with taxi’ on your registration for the event. We recommend you join the dedicated WhatsApp group so we know to look out for you on the day/ can provide live updates (link was emailed to you).

  • Make your own way - If you’re planning to drive, let us know at gatherwoman@gmail.com or join the WhatsApp group, and we will ensure the address and directions are shared with you in advance. Please arrive before 11:00 and get in touch if you have any questions.
