About The Event
Join us for an informal day out with an open invite to all - bring your plus ones and your little ones* to walk the beautiful chalk cliffs of East Sussex.
*Updated Information*
It is going to be hot, sitting somewhere around the 28º mark so we've opted to alter the route a bit so as not to incur any heat exhaustion. Taking the train to Eastbourne, we'll catch a short bus taking us up the hill to Beachy Head so we can start the walk from there. Taking a roughly 4mile/6.5km wander to Birling Gap where we'll stop for lunch by the sea. There's a great lunch pub or you are welcome to bring a packed lunch. A water bottle is going to be essential. The route is not flat and will take us roughly 1.5-2 hours at a very relaxed pace. After lunch you'll be welcome to either walk back the same way you came, walk on to Seaford (circa 2 hours provided your train ticket isn't Eastbourne return) or to take the bus back to Eastbourne Station, making your way home from there.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
*Please bear in mind this is a very hilly walk along chalk cliffs that are seldom balustraded so please take appropriate measures to keep little ones safe and assess if this is the day out for them. Comfortable trainers/walking shoes will be required.
