GATHER EXPERIENCE - Coffee & Code Club

A Saturday morning coffee and code workshop that introduces you to object-oriented programming - because girls code too! BYO laptop, this is gonna be hands on.

Kathleen Nadeau is an architectural designer who has worked in both Canada and the UK. Having undertaken a Masters at the Architectural Association in London, Kathleen developed an aptitude for 3D Object Oriented Programming that she took into her role at WilkinsonEyre where she helped develop Dyson's most recent masterplan of R&D buildings into an award winning scheme. We are delighted that Kathleen is leading us in an introductory session to Python programming.

This workshop will explore the fundamental elements and structure of the Python language. We will start with a short introduction to what python is and some of its many applications then move onto writing some simple code. At the end of the course you will walk away with a basic understanding of the language and a piece of digital art - developed by you!

Is this workshop for architects only?

Absolutely not! All women of all coding abilities most welcome. You need not have coded before.
